Tasks
The Centre carries out tasks related to the organisation, coordination and implementation of statistical surveys in the following specialised areas: domestic trade and catering, international trade in services, assessment of enterprises providing services related to business activity support and demand for services.
The tasks are carried out through:
- organising and conducting nationwide surveys within the scope of specialisation,
- work aimed at improving the organisation and methodology of surveys within the scope of specialisation,
- preparing proposals for programmes of statistical surveys and statistical compilations of official statistics,
- conducting work aimed at identifying the possibilities of using administrative data sources for reporting and analytical purposes,
- disseminating the results of surveys and statistical compilations within the scope of specialisation,
- identifying the demand for statistical information and analyses,
- cooperating with the authorial department of Statistics Poland, institutions and the scientific community in the preparation of surveys and statistical compilations,
- creating a nationwide thematic database in the field of domestic trade and business services.
